THE CHAP SAVER IS EASY TO USE:

STEP ONE:
Open chaps and place the Chap Saver facing up against the edge of the zipper.  The bottom of the Chap Saver should be level with the base of the zipper.  Insert nickel pin inside the canvas zipper material (see image below).  Close and secure pin.  Repeat on opoposite leg.

Buckle facing out (DELUXE model), pin is up and clip is level with bottom of zipper.
Pin inserted in canvas zipper material.

STEP TWO:
Put on your chaps.  Grasp the Chap Saver and pull outward, allowing the base of the chap to roll up.  Secure the protective plastic-tipped clip to the base of the fringed or scalloped edge of your chaps (see above).  Do not attach Chap Savers directly to fringe.
Protective plastic-tipped clip is secured to the base of the fringed or scalloped edge.

Chaps are allowed to roll up as chap strap is pulled upward.
STEP THREE:
Now your chapsaver is secure and protecting your chaps from damage. Congratulations!
When you are ready to mount, simply disengage your suspender clip and the elastic will pull the chapsaver back underneath your chap.
NOTE: To avoid injury, Chap Savers are designed to remain under the chap leg while riding the horse.  Chap Straps should only be engaged and holding up the base of the chap when the rider is ready to dismount.
